One of the fun ways to celebrate your child’s first year of life is to do a smash cake session.  Most of my clients will book a one year portrait session and bring with a cake for the very end.  It’s so fun to see how different kids react to this foreign object called “cake” in front of them.  Some dig in, and some are a little more skeptical of this big thing in front of them! Either way, this is a fun way to take the pressure off mom and dad during the birthday party and really let your child dig in and have a fun time.  As you can see Princess Ivy really enjoyed her first birthday cake and I love the photos we captured of her.
