I had so much taking Phin’s 6 month photos in my Minneapolis studio!  I’m pretty convinced that Phin is the happiest baby I know.  This kid came in to the studio totally passed out napping in his carseat and opened his eyes with the cutest little grin on his face.  Talk about Melt my Heart!  I’m not surprised though, because he has the most amazing family and I’ve recently had the opportunity to get to know his momma Hope Plack.  Hope is an amazing fitness and nutrition coach and I learned a lot just chatting with her at Phin’s newborn session and have been working with her the last 8 weeks.  Not only is Hope extremely knowledgeable but she is also so encouraging.  Even during Phin’s session she kept telling him what a good job he was doing.  I have no doubt she is his biggest fan!!  If you want to check out this crazy talented woman, check out her Facebook page {HERE}  And now on to the photo goodness!!

Spring is in the air, finally!  So it was only fitting that we did some spring “inspired” newborn photos at little Mia’s newborn session.  I have to admit I was a little nervous going into my session with Mia.  See, she was born at 35 weeks old and had to spend some time in the hospital before going home.  So I didn’t get to photograph her in the studio until she was well over two weeks old.  But luckily, she was very content and sleepy.  We took so many adorable photos of her and her family during her newborn session!

We had a gorgeous sunny day for Dana & Scott’s Centennial Lakes Wedding last May.  I have done many shoots at Centennial Lakes in the past but this was my first wedding there.  What a beautiful spot for a wedding! We had so many stunning backdrops for photos.

I fell in love with Dana from the first minute I spoke with her.  She had such a creative eye and DIY’d pretty much everything for their wedding.  Beautiful succulent bouquets, an adorable dessert table and many other carefully hand crafted details that made their wedding especially unique!

Scott kept me laughing most of the day with his fun personality and it was so fun to watch him sweetly care for his bride.  These two had an undeniable connection and it’s such a privilege for me to be able to capture that between couples.  The wedding photos below are a just a glimpse into their beautiful love story!

I had been following Lacey, Quinn’s mommy on instagram for a few weeks when I learned that she was a Rainbow baby.  A rainbow baby is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss.  I had a new idea for a rainbow newborn photo that I wanted to try at Quinn’s session.  In life, a beautiful rainbow follows a storm and gives hope that things will get better.  The term has come to be known to encourage parents to share their stories of loss, and the babies that have followed it.  Although, I have never suffered this great loss myself.  I have many friends that have walked through this dark storm.  I have been told there is nothing more amazing than when your receive your rainbow baby!  So if you are still waiting for your rainbow baby, I hope this post encourages you today and brings a little bit of hope into your heart.
