I’m still playing catch up on some of the fabulous weddings from 2016.  Today I’m going to share Mike & Emily’s gorgeous Mill City Museum Wedding in Minneapolis. Mike & Emily live and love Minneapolis.  It was only fitting they had their wedding at this gorgeous industrial venue that overlooks the banks of the Mississippi River.

I was so excited when I chatted with Mike and Emily about their wedding theme.  They are both avid animal lovers and Emily is a part of the board at the MN Zoo.  They revealed to me their theme was party animals! I’m sure everyone’s first thought is some crazy party, but Lasting Impressions Wedding planners brought a whole new level of elegance to that title.

Guests were entertained by the zoo mobile during cocktail hour, and the kids had their own animal themed stir sticks for their kiddy cocktails!  The reception decor was a stunning combination of golds, navy and pinks, with all your favorite zoo animals delightfully golden!  Even the place card holders had a special animal flare to them.  It was definitely a unique and fun wedding capture!

I know it’s been a long month of no posts but I am in the deep of busy season right now, so my apologies !  I’m a busy Minneapolis Newborn Photographer in addition to shooting other sessions and weddings.  I truly love all my clients and look forward to capturing each and every one of those memories.  Today’s newborn photos are so near and dear to me.  Lexie is a good friend of mine, who also happens to be a photographer as well. I was so incredibly honored when she asked me to capture the newborn photos for her new little one Henry.  He was so stinking adorable and you can see just how much he is loved by his family!

I pulled a late night to make sure I had time to blog this stunning Hidden Meadow Barn Wedding!  What a gorgeous venue located in the quaint town of Pepin, Wisconsin.  People often ask me if I travel for weddings and the answer is “YES”!  I love to travel and although this wasn’t a very far drive from the cities it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere.  This adorable rustic farm has been lovingly restored by Angela and her husband and it’s no wonder Kayla & Dave thought it would be the perfect venue for them to tie the knot.

Kayla and Dave were the sweetest couple, who put family above all else.  Their wedding day was centered around their children, friends and family.  You could just feel the love burst from all those who surrounded them.

It was a very warm muggy day and we had a few short stints of rain but nothing that took over the day.  During the ceremony the clouds were oh so dark, but our little barn venue in the valley didn’t get touched at all by the storm.  It was as though we had our own little bubble of protection surrounding us during that beautiful emotional ceremony.

It was nearly impossible for me to pick favorites from Kayla & Dave’s wedding day, but this blog post is what I came up with and I hope you love seeing a peek into their heartfelt wedding day!
