I was pretty much in love with Matt and Molly from the moment I met them. Starting out with the fact that I had never shot a wedding at the Millennium Hotel in Minneapolis, MN. When you’ve been doing weddings for almost 10 years there are very few wedding reception locations you haven’t been to. The Millennium also recently had some upgrades done to it and that made me even more excited. We started our day in Molly’s gorgeous hotel suite. This is honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. I love capturing all those little details before all the hustle and bustle begins. Molly had the most gorgeous dress from The Wedding Shoppe and it went perfectly with her vintage earrings and bracelet from A&Be Bridal Shop in Minneapolis. I’m also obsessed with pretty flowers and Molly’s for her wedding day were stunning from Saffron & Grey. I loved all the soft tones that were used!
It was a chilly February day, so it seemed only fitting that we do Matt & Molly’s first look in the Millennium Hotel’s iconic glass dome over looking the city of Minneapolis. We also did a bunch of the bridal party photos in there as well. Just a short jaunt away was a fun urban alley. We lasted all about 10 minutes outside because of the chilly February wind, but it was definitely worth it to get a few outside photos. The bridal party were real troopers!
The ceremony was so touching. This is usually about where I lose my composure for the day. I’m a pretty big sap I must admit! During the vows Molly began to tear up and Matt took out his hanky and wiped her tears away!! It was such a beautiful capture, it’s moments like those that I just love photographing…real, raw emotion!
